Welcome to Live Webclasses!

Here you can learn or teach one or many students live. You only need a webcam, a microphone and a broadband Internet connection.

Alpha version, what does this mean?
  • Teaching: To conduct a live web class as a teacher, follow these steps:

    1. Click on any Web Classroom with the status of “Start teaching this class!”
    2. Invite up to 15 students to join by emailing them the web address of your classroom (indicated next to the classroom name).
    3. Select the role of Teacher, enter the password "sclipo" and write your name in the box and click connect.
    4. Configure the flash pop‐up. You are now in the Web Classroom as a teacher. Now, up to 15 students can join your class.

Remember: As a teacher, you must have a webcam and microphone. See detailed system requirements.

  • Learning: To participate in a live web class as a student, follow these steps:

    2. Select the role of Student, write your name in the box and click connect.
    3. Configure the flash pop‐up. You are now in the Web Classroom as a student.

Important: As a student, you do not need a webcam and microphone, but you will need  them if you want to be seen and heard during a class. See detailed system requirements.

Sclipo recommends these webcams, available for purchase in the web store. Remember, the better the webcam, the better the web classroom experience.

Web Classrooms

    1. This is an alpha version, meaning it has limited functionality and lots of bugs. Our intention is to give you a flavor of what we are building. And, we would love to hear your feedback to build the Web Classroom the way you want.
    2. Use the Web Classroom only for teaching of to test a teaching session. You can teach about anything that is legal as specified in our Terms of Use.
    3. For now we can only provide limited number of Web Classrooms with room for 15 in each.
